David Hay

David Hay will be in his 9th Season as Head Football Coach at Glenwood High School in the Fall of 2024.  It will be his 33rd year coaching high school football and 31st at Glenwood.  Hay joined the Glenwood Football Coaching Staff in 1994 as a Varsity Receivers Coach.  Over the next 22 years as an assistant, Hay served at times as a position coach for the team's defensive backs, running backs, and defensive line.  During that time, Glenwood appeared in the Illinois State Championship game in 2010 finishing as runners-up and in 1998 winning the Class 4A State Championship.  He became the fifth Head Coach in the history of the program in 2016.  Hay's teams have earned an IHSA playoff bid every season and have won two Central State 8 Championships in 2018 and 2019.  During his tenure the Titans advanced to the IHSA Class 6A Semifinals in 2019 and the Class 6A Quarterfinals in 2023. 

David has served as a teacher and Assistant Principal during his time at Glenwood. He resides in Chatham with his wife Jane and two sons, Brandon (Class of 2017) and Justin (Class of 2024).
