Mike Garber

 Mike Garber has been a coach at Glenwood High School since 2009. He is currently the Head Cross Country Coach, Head Girls Track and Field Coach and the Distance Coach for both boys and girls track teams. For his first three seasons, he worked as an assistant to Jay Rogers in both Cross Country and Track. During the 2012 season, Coach Garber was hired as the head Cross Country coach and continued to work as the distance coach for the Glenwood Track team. Coach Garber ran for Glenwood in the late 90s and loves that he is able to coach in a program that helped shape him.

 Coach Garber has coached school record boys and girls 4x800 (indoor and outdoor), girls 4x400 (indoor and outdoor), boys 800m (indoor and outdoor), girls 1600m (indoor), girls 800m (indoor), 14 All-State Cross Country runners, 12 Regional Cross Country titles, 10 Sectional Cross Country titles, boy's 3rd Place Cross Country team in 2020, a boy's State Championship team in 2018, girl's State Championship teams in 2020 and 2023 and a 3rd place team in 2024. Coach Garber was named the Illinois Cross Country Coach of the Year by the US Track and Cross Country Coaches Association in 2023.
